Last time I went to Buenos Aires I got such a beautiful time. It such a lovely place. And it is so easy if you want to go on foot to all the places that you want to visit. Other thing that you have to know is that in Buenos Aires there are a lot of options to peak a nice place where to stay. I have stayed in Puerto Madero where the business of the real estate agents is growing a lot. This area is the most expensive of Buenos Aires but is the nicest one. Also you can stay in downtown and it depends on how many days would you like to stay. If you like to stay in Buenos Aires just for a couple days, you should definitely stay in Palermo or Recoleta which are the nicest places of Buenos Aires and are close of everything. I mean, if you like to walk you can go on foot to downtown. It will take more than an hour but in Buenos Aires the walks are very nice because it is a lovely city and in each place you will have something to see. And for example if you are staying at Palermo and you want to go on foot to downtown you can walk straight through Cordoba Avenue in direction to the river. May be walk by Santa Fe avenue will be nicer, but Cordoba is all right. So if you take Santa Fe avenue, when you reach downtown, for example Florida St, the pedestrian street, you go straight to Cordoba avenue and then you walk straight to Puerto Madero, you walk to the river. And there you will get there and it is a lovely place where you can eat and have a coffee, whatever you want. Or just have a nice walk. And if you don't like to walk you can take the public transport. It is really easy.
